Our Story

Thank you for visiting SB Home! We are a small business based in Chesterland, Ohio that specializes in refinishing high-quality, unique vintage and antique furniture and giving beautiful old furnishings a new opportunity to shine. What started in our garage, refinishing furniture and selling pieces on Etsy, has grown into a welcoming studio and workshop filled with an ever-changing collection of one-of-a-kind furniture, lamps, home décor, pillows, accessories, seasonal décor, vintage finds, and new treasures too!

We have a true appreciation for the quality, craftsmanship, character, and history found in older furnishings. Rather than making every piece look the same, we allow each individual piece to guide us. Its age, style, wood, details, condition, and original character all help determine how it will be refinished. Some pieces receive a fresh painted finish, others are carefully distressed or restored, and whenever possible, we love preserving beautiful original wood and details. The result is a collection of furnishings that are truly one-of-a-kind.

Looking for something made especially for your home? We also have a selection of ready-to-finish furniture available for customization. Choose a piece and work with us to select a finish that complements your home and personal style.

At SB Home, the experience is just as important to us as the furniture. We believe in providing excellent customer service and a friendly, relaxed shopping experience. Whether you're searching for a statement piece, decorating an entire room, looking for the perfect vintage accessory, or simply stopping in to see what’s new, we're happy to help. We want you to feel comfortable browsing, asking questions, and taking your time finding something you truly love. Please see our reviews. Making somebody happy is what keeps us going!

Our inventory is constantly changing, so you never know what you might find! Along with furniture and home accessories, you'll find seasonal décor throughout the year, making SB Home a fun place to revisit as the seasons change.

SB Home is open by appointment, but don't let that stop you from visiting! Simply call or text us at 440-823-3743 anytime you'd like to stop by. We’re happy to arrange a convenient time for you to browse the studio.
